(Note: In American sports betting, odds are typically expressed with a plus (+) or minus (–) symbol followed by a number. For example, +200 signifies the amount a bettor could win if wagering $100. If the bet works out, the player would receive a total payout of $300 ($200 profit + $100 initial stake.)
TOP FUEL
Last week in Richmond, Doug Kalitta cashed as one of the favorites following a final round win over Kalitta Motorsports teammate Shawn Langdon. Kalitta is once again among the favorites this week with a +742 opening price meaning a $10 wager would return a profit of $74.20. A similar price can be found for favorites Justin Ashley and Steve Torrence while Tony Stewart sits at +851 following a solid semifinal showing last week. It’s worth noting that there are 20 cars entered for the Norwalk race so there will be a fierce battle just to make Sunday’s 16-car field.
