The Pep Boys NHRA All-Star Callout events will feature intense competition between the top eight NHRA Top Fuel and Funny Car drivers in the world. The shootout will also utilize a callout format with the No. 1 seed getting their first choice of opponent. This unique format will deliver can’t-miss racing action from the stars in the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series.
The Mission #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge brings competitive racing to the qualifying schedule at 12 regular-season events during the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series campaign, pitting semifinalists from the previous race against each other in a pair of rematches, with the two winners then matching up in the final qualifying session.
The NHRA Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing League offers kids ages 5-17 a chance to race half-scale dragsters in a controlled environment at many of NHRA's 130 member tracks throughout the United States and in Canada. The cars that Jr. Drag Racing League competitors race are called Jr. Dragsters and are half-scale versions of Top Fuel dragsters. Using a five-horsepower, single-cylinder engine, a Jr. Dragster can go as fast as 85 mph and as quick as 7.90 seconds in an eighth-mile, though younger age groups are restricted to slower times/speeds. The FlexjetNHRA Factory Stock Showdown is designed to showcase competition between Chevrolet COPO Camaro, Ford Mustang Cobra Jet and the Dodge Mopar Challenger Drag Pak entries. The series has seen increased car counts at races across the country and rabid interest from fans of the series.
Every year for the last 37 years, NHRA’s best sportsman drivers have come together for the annual JEGS Allstars competition. A unique event that rewards both individual and team achievements, the JEGS Allstars is comprised of up to 80 drivers representing 10 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series eliminators.
The NHRA Manufacturers Cup is awarded to the automobile manufacturer whose current-year models earn the most points for qualifying and category victories at NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series national and Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series regional and divisional events will be awarded the NHRA Manufacturers Cup for performance achievement at the end of the season. NHRA Factory X presented by Holley will bridge the gap between Factory Stock Showdown and Pro Stock and will be reserved for 2019 and newer manufactured automobiles, including the Chevrolet COPO Camaro, Dodge Challenger Drag Pak, and Ford Mustang Cobra Jet.
