Virginia NHRA Nationals Sunday preview

John Force, Clay Millican, Jason Line and Andrew Hines lead their respective Mello Yello categories entering race day at the NHRA Virginia Nationals.

Race day begins at noon Eastern at the Virginia NHRA Nationals with Top Fuel. Clay Millican earned his first pole with first-time-in-a-long-time crew chief Mike Kloeber and will take on No. 16 qualifier Dan Mercier in the first round. [Ladder]

John Force will chase his 150th Funny Car win from pole position at Virginia Motorsports Park. His day begins against Jeff Diel at an event his daughter, Courtney Force, won with the same team in 2018. [Ladder]

Jason Line earned his first pole in two years and is looking for his first Pro Stock win since October 2018. His day starts against No. 16 qualifier Val Smeland, who races out of Kenny Delco Racing. [Ladder]

Andrew Hines earned his second pole of the year and is already looking for his third Wally in a bid to extend his lead in the Pro Stock Motorcycle standings. He will take on Jianna Salinas, who qualified for her first race in Richmond, in the first round. [Ladder]

Today's schedule also includes eliminations in the Lucas Oil Drag Racing series, as well as qualifying in the E3 Pro Mod series. Here's the day's complete schedule.
