Alexis DeJoria rode out a major fire after winning her first-round Funny Car race with Gary Densham at the AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals. DeJoria emerged unscathed and her team immediately began getting its backup car ready.

Texas favorites Steve Torrence in Top Fuel and Erica Enders in Pro Stock will hope to use the home state advantage to buoy their points leads as final eliminations for the AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals get under way Sunday at Texas Motorplex.

Texas Top Fuel fans have another driver to root for the next two weekends in Kebin Kinsley, the Arlington, Texas-based drag racer/boat racer who will be driving Dexter Tuttle’s dragster this weekend before hopping back into the Worsham Racing dragster in Houston and Las Vegas.

Erica Enders and Matt Smith collected final-round victories from the rain-delayed Mopar Express Lane NHRA Midwest Nationals as racing concluded during qualifying at the AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals. 

Steve Torrence (Top Fuel), Matt Hagan (Funny Car), Deric Kramer (Pro Stock), and Matt Smith (Pro Stock Motorcycle) led their respective fields at the close of qualifying for the AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals at Texas Motorplex.

Over the course of one year, Randal Andras has gone from championship afterthought to the world champion of the NHRA Mickey Thompson Tires Top Fuel Harley Drag Racing Series, clinching his first championship at the conclusion of qualifying at the AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals.
