NHRA National Dragster Sportsman Racer of the Month: Monty Bogan
Monty Bogan didn’t win enough rounds to contend for the world championship in Comp eliminator, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t finish the 2025 season on a high note.

Bogan, driving the Sharp Motorsports entry, enjoyed a great stretch run in October beginning with a win in the JEGS Allstars competition held in Dallas. Bogan’s win helped the Southeast Division team claim the overall team title in a landslide as six Division 2 racers reached final rounds.
A week later, Bogan went to the final Southeast Division event at Rockingham Dragway, where he swept both ends of the double-header weekend. In race one, Bogan topped Allen Wilson. Two days later, he finished off the double with a win over Joel Warren in the final.
Bogan also threw in a quarterfinal finish in Super Stock during the Rockingham event.
Honorable Mentions

Jeff Taylor might be well on his way to a fifth NHRA world championship in Comp thanks to a late-season run that included a win at the Texas NHRA FallNationals in Dallas and a semifinal two weeks later in Las Vegas. Taylor is the leader in Comp heading into the final event of the season in Pomona.
Russ Linke has clinched the 2025 NHRA Stock world title, and it’s largely due to his performance at the Division 1 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event at Virginia Motorsports Park. An event originally scheduled in September, Linke went to the final in race one, and after a lengthy rain delay, he finished off his season with a clutch win with final rounds held during the Dutch Classic National Open at Maple Grove Raceway.

Jessica Eastburn is still in the running for the title in Right Trailers Top Dragster, and it’s largely due to a win at the Division 1 event at Cecil County Dragway.
Brad Plourd
Racing in Stock and Right Trailers Top Dragster, Plourd had a great weekend in Rockingham, N.C., where he drove to a win in Top Dragster and a runner-up finish in Stock.
