NHRA on FOX team wins three Telly awards for television video excellence
NHRA was honored recently with three prestigious Telly awards for video excellence during 2020, boosting to 19 the NHRA broadcasting team’s recognition in the last seven years. The Telly Awards honor excellence in video and television across all screens.
NHRA was bestowed a Gold Telly in Sports Television for its pandemic-reflective open to the Mopar Express Lane NHRA SpringNationals, titled The Harder the Conflict, produced by Steve Reintjes, written and voiced by Brian Lohnes, and directed and edited by Lauren Adams.
NHRA also won a Bronze Remote Production Telly for its NHRA Rewind: Gainesville show (produced by Reintjes, hosted by Brian Lohnes, and directed by Rob Hedrick) and a Bronze Image Campaign Telly for Stronger Together, a Reintjes/Hedrick collaboration that reflected the NHRA community’ solidarity through the pandemic.
“I’m proud of the accomplishments of the NHRA on FOX production team, which encompasses a dedicated group of gifted and creative storytellers," said Reintjes, NHRA Vice President-Broadcasting. “It’s exciting to receive industry-wide recognition from the Telly Awards Judging Council, and to bring more awareness to this captivating sport through impactful content.”

The Telly Awards was founded in 1979 to honor excellence in local, regional, and cable television commercials with non-broadcast video and television programming added soon after. With the recent evolution and rise of digital video (web series, VR, 360, and beyond), the Telly Awards today also reflects and celebrates this exciting new era of the moving image online and offline.
The Telly Awards annually showcases the best work created within television and across video, for all screens. Receiving more than 12,000 entries from all 50 states and five continents, Telly Award winners represent work from some of the most respected advertising agencies, television stations, production companies, and publishers from around the world.
