The J&A Service Pro Mod series returns for 2017 at the Amalie Motor Oil Gatornationals where radial tire drag racing star Steve “Fast” Jackson will be making his NHRA debut. Jackson joined NHRA reporter Lewis Bloom via Skype delivered by PAPA JOHN’S in the Wally Parks NHRA Studio to talk about his first NHRA race.

Jackson is known for some of the wilder moments in eighth-mile drag racing history. He has never raced quarter-mile in competition and is very excited about coming to Gainesville in a car sponsored by Bahrain 1. The car he is racing is a brand-new Jerry Bickel Camaro with a supercharged Brad Anderson engine and says he is looking forward to racing the stars of NHRA Pro Mod and some of his childhood heroes. He also talks about his long-time relationship with nitro crew chief Phil Schuler and his desire to race at Top Fuel car.
