Alexis DeJoria suffered her third concussion in four months when she slammed into the wall in Las Vegas in October, which ended her 2016 season early. The driver of the Tequila Patron Funny Car driver never doubted her 2017 return, and joined NHRA reporter Amanda Busick via Skype in the Wally Parks NHRA Studio to talk about her pre-season prep and the addition of champion crew chief Nicky Boninfante.

Alexis DeJoria is entering into her sixth full-time NHRA Mello Yello Series in Funny Car. DeJoria finished the 2016 season 10th in the points highlighted by a win at the spring Las Vegas race.
