Brittany Force joined NHRA reporter Lewis Bloom via Skype in the Wally Parks NHRA Studio delivered by Papa John’s to talk about her NHRA New England Nationals win, her sister Courtney’s crazy weekend, and more.

Force enjoyed a great outing at the New England Dragway that ended with the Monster driver in the winner’s circle for the first time in 2017. Force paced the opening day of qualifying, then ultimately finished No. 2 in the order with a strong 3.68 that was one of just four 3.6s recorded during the weekend (Force had another in qualifying, and Leah Pritchett dipped in the 3.6s twice during qualifying). Force carried that strong performance into race day, during which she ran steady 3.7s en route to wins against Steve Chrisman, Troy Coughlin Jr., Shawn Langdon, and, in the final, Antron Brown.

The victory was the first for Force this season, earning her a spot in the NHRA Traxxas Nitro Shootout, and the fourth of her career. It came in Force’s second final round of 2017. She also made the final two in Phoenix, where Force lost a close match with Pritchett.
