Catching up with Whit Bazemore
There are few drivers in NHRA history with a stronger opinion about the sport than Whit Bazemore. Bazemore, who has driven both Funny Cars and Top Fuel cars in his long career and won 20 races in Funny Car including two at the Chevrolet Performance U. S. Nationals, joined NHRA reporter Lewis Bloom in the NHRA Wally Parks Studio via Skype from his home in Oregon to talk about the recently completed Circle K Winternationals at Auto Club Raceway.
Bazemore catches fans up on what he has been doing the last 10 years since he left the driver’s seat, then discusses everything from Leah Pritchett’s win in Top Fuel and Doug Kalitta’s issues in the final round to Matt Hagan’s controversial race win over Ron Capps and the renewed rivalry between Don Schumacher and John Force.
