Bynum talks Hot Rod Reunion success; Nitro Funny Car licensing process

Matt Bynum joined NHRA reporter Lewis Bloom in the Wally Parks Studio delivered by Papa John’s to talk about his recent success at the 26th California Hot Rod Reunion this past weekend at Auto Club Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield.

Bynum raced in his first ever final round in the AA/Funny Car class coming up short against tuner Bucky Austin and his driver Bobby Cottrell. Bynum drives the “Nitro Nick” Camaro Funny Car owned by Cecil Matthews. The team had Top Speed of the event at a booming 263.05 miles per hour. Bynum works full time on the JR Todd driven DHL Funny Car as the Supercharger specialist and is also in the process of getting his Nitro Funny Car license in Del Worsham's Funny Car.
