Brown talks Vegas win, Top Gear hosting, and racing with his sons
Antron Brown joined NHRA reporter Lewis Bloom in the Wally Parks NHRA Studio delivered by Papa John’s via Skype to talk about his recent win at the Denso Spark Plugs NHRA Nationals in Las Vegas, his newest day job as a co-presenter on BBC America’s Top Gear America, and Jr. Dragster racing with his family.
Brown talked about taking home the 300th Wally for Don Schumacher Racing in Las Vegas over teammate Tony Schumacher and also talked about working on the Top Gear set and how much fun that is for him and his co-presenters on the show. In between racing and working on the Top Gear set, he spent time this past weekend racing Jr. Dragsters at Gateway Motorsports Park with sons Adler and Anson.
Bloom also reminded Brown that both his first wins, Pro Stock Motorcycle and Top Fuel, have come in the state of Texas, our next stop on tour. Brown won Pro Stock Motorcycle in 1999 at Texas Motorplex and Top Fuel at Royal Purple Raceway in 2008, and he was stunned it has already been 10 years since his first Top Fuel win.
