Austin Coil joined NHRA reporter Lewis Bloom via Skype in the Wally Parks NHRA Studio delivered by Papa John’s to talk about his life after drag racing.

Coil is considered by many to be the greatest nitro tuners of all time. Over his long career, he tuned Frank Hawley and John Force to 139 race wins, along with 17 championships. Coil left the sport after the 2010 season.

Bloom caught up with Coil at John Force Racing and the two spoke about what Coil has been doing in his leisure time with his wife, Lisa. Coil also spoke about his career in the sport, his legacy, and his relationship with John Force. Coil also commented on some of the current tuners in the Funny Car class, including Jimmy Prock and Mike Neff.
