Nine Sportsman drivers claimed huge victories in Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series action at the Dodge Power Brokers NHRA U.S. Nationals, led by Bo Butner, who won Super Gas for the second straight year.

The NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series regular season came to a thrilling conclusion on Monday at the world’s biggest drag race, the Dodge Power Brokers NHRA U.S. Nationals, setting the stage for an epic Countdown to the Championship.

During the third round of Top Alcohol Funny Car qualifying at the Dodge Power Brokers NHRA U.S. Nationals, Chris Zgoda’s car caught fire just before the finish line before coming to a stop. Zgoda exited the car under his own power, was examined onsite by the NHRA medical team, and was released.
