NHRA officials have announced details of its 23-event 70th anniversary season which includes a full slate of Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series action. The Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series will be contested at all 23 events on each event day.

Matt Smith had the dominant bike during much of the 2020 season and was rewarded with his fourth Camping World NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle championship.

For all the challenges of 2020, NHRA’s sportsman racers were blessed to compete in 14 national events (including three JEGS SPORTSnationals races) and 41 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series divisional and regional events. Regardless, we've chosen a few memorable moments that won't soon be forgotten.

The Hemi engines drag racers know and love get their name from the hemispherical (half of a sphere) combustion chamber that positions their valves 180 degrees from one another. Those monstrous valves are held in place by titanium retainers and steel keepers.

With a clutch run in the second round on Sunday at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Stevie “Fast” Jackson claimed his second straight world championship in the E3 Spark Plugs NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series presented by J&A Service.

Matt Hagan wrapped up a perfect day at the Dodge NHRA Finals presented by Pennzoil at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, clinching the championship in the semifinals and then winning the event, his third of the season, beating teammate Ron Capps in the final.
