Hagan shatters Funny Car marks on record-setting day in Topeka

Matt Hagan set both ends of the NHRA Funny Car national record with a stunning blast of 3.802 seconds at 338.85 mph to lead Funny Car qualifying at the Menards NHRA Heartland Nationals presented by Minties. Tony Schumacher (Top Fuel) and Bo Butner (Pro Stock) lead their respective fields.

NHRA has announced a change to the structure in which racers earn points toward a berth in the popular JEGS Allstars program. Beginning with the 2018 JEGS Allstars event, racers will now count their best five in-division events toward their JEGS Allstars points total.
