The second half of the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series Countdown to the Championship playoffs kicks off with the Texas NHRA FallNationals at Texas Motorplex, Race 4 of the six-race battle to crown this year's world champions.

Top Fuel points leader Shawn Langdon is after his fifth straight win and fourth in the Countdown, facing off against teammate Doug Kalitta, Tony Stewart, Leah Pruett, rookies Maddi Gordon and Will Smith, and Antron Brown. With 16 straight round-wins, Langdon, the 2013 world champ, is on an epic roll in the Kalitta Air dragster as he looks to unseat reigning champ Kalitta, winner of two of the last three titles. Kalitta is the defending event champ.

The other three points leaders all left Texas Motorplex with the trademark winner's cowboy hat and would love to add to their collection again this year.

Two-time and reigning Funny Car world champ Austin Prock picked up his first Dallas win last year before rolling to his second consecutive Funny Car title. This season, four-time world champion Matt Hagan currently leads the points, with Jordan Vandergriff sitting second, making a huge comeback from a slow start to the season in the Tasca Racing Ford.

Pro Stock standout Dallas Glenn won for the first time in Dallas last year en route to the world title. He won the regular-season title with his first NHRA U.S. nationals win and will try to track down points leader Greg Stanfield.

Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Richard Gadson, the reigning world champ, holds a slim points lead over teammate Gaige Herrera, while other top names include Matt and Angie Smith, John Hall, and Ryan Oehler.
