NHRA launches 75th anniversary website to salute its history and heroes
NHRA fans can relive the history of the sport through a new 75th anniversary website that was unveiled Jan. 7 as part of the NHRA’s milestone celebration in 2026.
The new site, NHRA75.com, tells the story of the fabled sanctioning body’s first 75 years through compelling stories, photographs, and video that capture the NHRA’s ascension from its dry-lakes roots to today’s 340-mph horsepower spectacular.
Created by the staff of NHRA National Dragster magazine and developed by BNR Digital Agency in Huntersville, N.C., the site explores the birth of a movement from the early days of hot rodding that preceded NHRA’s actual founding in 1951 right up through the conclusion of the 2025 season.
Fans can explore vast photo galleries with hundreds of vintage photographs and enjoy historic videos from some of NHRA’s most iconic moments. Year-by-year summaries encapsulate each season’s highlights, including the year’s world champions, biggest stories, and, from 1990 on, the season’s NHRA Rookie of the Year.
Fans can also browse an encyclopedic list of all world champions, including all of today’s classes as well as discontinued classes.
The site is also the home of the Top 75 Drivers and Top 75 Moments archive, with weekly additions to the prestigious lists.
Fans can also purchase tickets to 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series events and shop for 75th anniversary merchandise, beginning with the season-opening NHRA Gatornationals in early March.
