Laris Motorsports Insurance Cajun NHRA SPORTSnationals set for No Problem Raceway
NHRA and No Problem Raceway are gearing up for the 2026 edition of the Laris Motorsports Insurance Cajun NHRA SPORTSnationals, a premier event for drivers competing in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series. The highly anticipated event will take place March 27–29, 2026, at No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose, La.
The first of several SPORTSnationals events on the 2026 NHRA schedule, the Laris Motorsports Insurance Cajun NHRA SPORTSnationals continues a longstanding tradition that has become a favorite among Sportsman racers across the country. The event returns to Cajun country following a memorable 2025 race that overcame challenges, including weather-related adjustments, while still delivering the competitive racing and hospitality that racers have come to expect.
The SPORTSnationals provides a racer-friendly schedule as it follows immediately after the season-opening NHRA South Central Division (Division 4) Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event, also held at No Problem Raceway on March 25-26. Collectively, the events provide Sportsman racers with an extended stretch of racing action in Louisiana, giving teams the opportunity to chase early-season points and compete for a NHRA 75th Anniversary edition Wally, perhaps the most coveted prize in drag racing this season.
Located just south of Baton Rouge, La., and west of New Orleans in the heart of Cajun country, No Problem Raceway has built a reputation for hosting memorable events and catering to NHRA Sportsman competitors. The Hoyos family and their track staff are known throughout the racing community for their welcoming atmosphere and commitment to delivering a top-tier experience for racers and fans alike.
Hundreds of competitors from nine NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series categories are expected to converge on Belle Rose for the weeklong racing celebration. From Super Stock and Stock eliminator to Top Dragster, Top Sportsman, and the full slate of Sportsman categories, the event showcases some of the best grassroots drag racing in the country.
Super Stock and Stock competitors will also compete in traditional class eliminations on March 27, while specialty events such as the Hemi Chootout add to the excitement. In addition, bracket categories including Super Pro, Pro, and Jr. Dragster have been added, giving even more racers the opportunity to compete during the weekend.
In addition to intense on-track competition, racers will enjoy several special traditions that have become synonymous with the Cajun SPORTSnationals. One of the most anticipated highlights is the famous Laris Motorsports Insurance Crawfish Boil, where more than 1,500 pounds of crawfish will be served Friday night as a thank-you to the racers and crews who make the event possible.
With great racing, Cajun hospitality, and one of the most unique atmospheres on the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series schedule, the 2026 Laris Motorsports Insurance Cajun NHRA SPORTSnationals promises to once again deliver an unforgettable weekend for Sportsman racers and fans alike.
