The July 2026 issue of NHRA National Dragster, packed with racing action from five different NHRA series and features, is now online in digital format and in the mail in its traditional print format to NHRA Members around the world.
Maddi Gordon’s spectacular win at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals — winning alongside her car owner, Ron Capps, and father, Doug Gordon, made for a memorable event and a memorable cover. Her road to victory — and that of the other Norwalk winners, including GETTRX NHRA Pro Stock All-Star Callout champ Dallas Glenn — is detailed in our event coverage. As a bonus, we’ve got an interview with Maddi about the big day, and ND Editor Phil Burgess writes about the Norwalk track’s history of creating special memories.
There’s also event coverage of the Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals and the RAD Torque Systems NHRA Canadian SPORTSnationals, plus reports from the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, NHRA National Open Series, NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Racing Series, and NHRA Jr. Drag Racing League.
One of the Heritage Series’ biggest events, the National Hot Rod Reunion in Bowling Green, Ky., is spotlighted with photos of an assortment of vintage iron both on and off the racetrack.
The NHRA Right Trailers Western Conference Finals for NHRA’s Jr. Drag Racers is also covered in depth, and ND columnist Luke Bogacki supplements that coverage with a chance to brag about his son, Gary, one of the event winners. It’s a true testament to both of them on how this win came about.
Bogacki is also featured in the final roundup of NHRA’s Top 50 Sportsman Racers list, which salutes the sport’s greatest as part of the 75th anniversary celebration.
Thousands of miles away from all of this, Brian Lohnes’ Unsolicited Opinion column takes us to Iceland, and showcases that island nation's drag racing spirit.
Peak Performance Sportsman Racer of the Month Phil Unruh is saluted for his great performances, while our Racing Tech column offers 10 important tips that every racer should know about racing wheels.
