As America celebrates its 250th birthday this Independence Day, NHRA proudly joins the nation in honoring the spirit that has driven our country forward since 1776. This year also marks another historic milestone as NHRA celebrates its 75th anniversary.

For three-quarters of a century, NHRA has embodied many of the values that define America itself. From humble beginnings on Southern California airstrips and abandoned runways to sold-out national events featuring 12,000-horsepower machines exceeding 340 mph, drag racing has always reflected the ingenuity, craftsmanship, and competitive spirit that make this country unique.
