With the regular season winding down, Doug Kalitta (Top Fuel), Matt Hagan (Funny Car), Matt Hartford (Pro Stock), and Gaige Herrera (Pro Stock Motorcycle) have earned the most Mission #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge points to date in their respective categories. These points are added to their totals at the points reset leading into the Countdown to the Championship playoffs.

The Challenge, which pits the semifinalists from a previous race against one another in a two-round series of rematches that takes place during the final day of qualifying, made its debut in 2023 as a way to add some extra fan drama to qualifying, to win some cash, and, more importantly, to bank some bonus points leading into the Countdown to the Championship playoffs.

Three points were given to the winner of the Challenge in each class, two points were awarded to the runner-up, and one point was given to the quickest loser in the first round.

Just the two races — the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals and the Cornwell Quality Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals — remain in the NHRA regular season. Top Fuel, Funny Car, and Pro Stock will be contested at both events, while Pro Stock Motorcycle will not compete at the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals.
