In 2011, Matt Hagan made NHRA history by becoming the first Funny Car driver to break the four-second barrier in the 1,000-foot distance. Behind the wheel of his Don Schumacher Racing Dodge Charger, Hagan clocked an incredible 3.995-second run during the NHRA event at Charlotte’s zMAX Dragway. This milestone not only redefined Funny Car performance but also solidified Hagan’s place among the sport's elite. Fans still celebrate this groundbreaking achievement, a testament to the power and precision of the Dodge Funny Car program.
