The August 2024 issue of NHRA National Dragster, packed with national event coverage and a slew of interesting feature stories, is now online in digital format and in the mail in its traditional print format to NHRA Members around the world.

As the cover suggests, there’s been a whirlwind of action on the racetrack that is covered throughout the massive 196-page issue.

National event coverage includes the NHRA Northwest Nationals, Denso NHRA Sonoma Nationals, and the JEGS NHRA SPORTSnationals, packed with great photos, insight, and all the stats you could ever ask for. The Sonoma coverage also includes the GETTRX NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle All-Star Callout.

Maddi Gordon’s Top Alcohol Funny Car win in Seattle, which made her the 100th woman to win an NHRA national event, is well documented beginning with our exclusive interview with the history maker and then a historical look back at the 100 women who made the list and how we got here.

The issue also takes a deep dive into the career of Pro Stock Motorcycle veteran Steve Johnson, who competed in his 500th NHRA national event in Sonoma, and turns the spotlight on a pair of standout Sportsman racers in Len Schneider, who is still piloting and winning in the same Super Stock GT Thunderbird he debuted in 1984, and Super Comp killer Cooper Chun, who shares his inspirational story of perseverance.

But wait … there’s more from our regular columnists. National Dragster Editor Phil Burgess takes a sneak peek ahead at the Toyota NHRA U.S. Nationals, three-time world champ Luke Bogacki discusses the merits and challenges of bottom-bulb racing, WFO Radio’s Joe Castello shares an intimate story and special reminder, ND Senior Editor Kevin McKenna reveals his selection for Sportsman Racer of the Month, and tech guru Evan Smith shares the story behind the amazing Jesel Equal 8 powerplant

The issue is packed with even more race coverage, including NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series competition in Divisions 1, 3, 5, and 6, plus Jr. Dragster action from the NHRA Right Trailers Western Conference Finals presented by Capco Contractors.

A huge, action-packed issue for your summertime reading pleasure.
