The June 2024 issue of NHRA National Dragster, packed with racing coverage from coast to coast and in-depth feature stories, is now online in digital format and in the mail in its traditional print format to NHRA Members around the world.

NHRA dived into the summer with the Gerber Collision & Glass NHRA Route 66 Nationals presented by Peak Performance from Chicago and the NHRA New England Nationals in Epping, and the National Dragster team was there to document the wild action, upsets, and history being made. Coverage of the Route 66 Nats also includes the GETTRX NHRA Pro Stock All-Star Callout, the Street Car Shootout, and the 2024 debut of the Pingel NHRA Top Fuel Motorcycle series.

The issue also is packed with interesting feature stories about the personalities of NHRA Drag Racing, including a deep dive behind the scenes at what makes the Killer Bs — driver Sean Bellemeur, tuner Steve Boggs, and owner Tony Bartone — so tough to beat. We also take a look at the multi-generation Gaynor family, including recent 16-year-old winner Ty, to see what makes the family operation continue to click and wrack up race trophies.

We also chatted at length with drag racing legend John Force about what the future really holds for him after his emotional “ready to retire” announcement in Epping.

Our special Jr. Drag Racing section also shines a light on two of its best, third-generation talent Ben Bryson and 8-year-old phenom Luke Hutchinson, who are successful and motivated beyond their ages.

Our columnists tackle a wide variety of topics, with ND Editor Phil Burgess exploring the new world of the PlayNHRA gaming initiative, Senior Editor Kevin McKenna revealing his pick for Racer of the Month, racing expert Luke Bogacki talking about racer tendencies, and Elon Werner recapping the Chicago and Epping events.

On the tech side, our Racing Technology takes a good long look at the science of torque converters, talking stall, stators, sprags, and more to educate you and allow you to make the best choice when it comes o this vital link in your drivetrain.

The racing coverage extends far beyond the national event stage with NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series coverage from Division 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6 and a recap of NAPA Ignitor NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Racing Series event from Firebird Raceway.
