Defending champ Alexander to fly Schaeffler colors this weekend in Norwalk
Schaeffler, a pioneering force in the field of motion technology, has announced backing for Funny Car racer Blake Alexander for the third straight season at this weekend’s Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals in Norwalk. Alexander is the defending champion of the event, which is a home race for team owner Jim Head. Alexander also is the only driver to have won in both the Top Fuel and Funny Car categories at the Norwalk event.
Norwalk fans can expect to see Schaeffler's green branding on Alexander's Mustang-bodied car for the first time this race season. The Schaeffler branding will also be prominent on Alexander’s helmet and firesuit throughout the weekend.
“Blake Alexander's journey in motorsports mirrors our own commitment to pushing boundaries and achieving greatness” said Jerry Conroy, Vice President Vehicle Lifetime Solutions, North America at Schaeffler. “As we prepare for the race, we're not only excited to support Blake but also to engage with fans and employees and experience the competitive world of motorsports.”
“It is an honor to display the Schaeffler green in the United States again for a third season,” said Alexander. “We center our NHRA race promotions around these 12,000-horsepower machines and the people who use the Schaeffler, LUK, and INA automotive parts. I pride myself in connecting with the technicians and shop owners alike who use Schaeffler products daily. Adding Schaeffler's quality parts and innovation to our team has helped us immensely, and I am excited to chase another win with Schaeffler at Norwalk.”
Leading up to and during the weekend, Schaeffler will celebrate its employees through company events and by providing exclusive access to the race. This includes seating next to the pit, where they will enjoy an up-close and thrilling experience. In addition, Schaeffler is hosting a digital competition, where fans can win tickets to the race and other exclusive gifts, showcasing its commitment to engaging with the racing community and fostering excitement for motorsports.
