Two weeks after watching his father, Greg, win the inaugural Holley EFI Factory X race in Las Vegas, Aaron Stanfield responded with a win of his own in Charlotte. Driving the Janac Bros., Reher-Morrison tribute Camaro, Stanfield powered to a 7.08 in the final round to secure the win against Jesse Alexandra, who trailed with a 7.450 shut off run.

Stanfield, the three-time FlexJet Factory Stock Showdown champion had a busy Sunday at zMax Dragway as he also raced in the final quad in the Pro Stock class, finishing second to winner Greg Anderson.

There were eight entries for the new eliminator, and Stanfield struggled in qualifying, landing in the No. 8 spot after struggling to get down the track on Friday and Saturday. His fortunes changed in eliminations as the Stanfield team got a handle on the track and the 10.5-inch rear tires that is standard in the FX class.

Stanfield defeated his father, Greg, in round one with a 7.05 and then stopped Lenny Lottig in the semifinals with a 7.07. The third-generation racer, who now has wins in Pro Stock, Factory Stock, Top Dragster, Super Stock, and Factory X, also did his part on the starting line with three competitive reaction times.

Alexandra, who debuted his new supercharged Camaro at the Las Vegas event, was the No. 7 qualifier with a 7.28. On race day, Alexandra topped the Ford entries of Chris Holbrook and Stephen Bell to reach the final.
