New action-packed National Dragster issue chronicles NHRA Western Swing
The vaunted NHRA Western Swing trio of events is the focus of the new issue of NHRA National Dragster magazine, which is now online in digital format and in the mail in its traditional print format to NHRA Members around the world.
Gaige Herrera’s historic Pro Stock Motorcycle sweep of the Denver, Seattle, and Sonoma events is the focus of the cover and much of the three-race coverage as the second-year rider pulled off a feat never before accomplished in his class and not performed by anyone since 2009.
The staff’s award-winning photographers and writers chronicled the multi-state test of endurance and adaptability from every angle to chronicle its place in the sport’s history.
The issue also provides complete coverage of the JEGS NHRA SPORTSnationals from National Trail Raceway as well as the inaugural Wally Parks NHRA Nostalgia Nationals from Beech Bend Raceway.
There’s even more racing with coverage from the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series in Divisions 1, 3, 5, and 6.
Resident racing expert Luke Bogacki, a three-time world champion, shares some great advice of how to deal with mistakes behind the wheel, and tech editor at large Evan Smith shares some in-depth info about brakes in our regular Racing Technology column.
Our monthly “5 Minutes With …” interview is with team owner Joe Maynard, who talks about his first year with Tony Schumacher, new alliances with Justin Ashley and Tim Wilkerson, and what ambitious plans he has for the future.
