The third 2023 issue of NHRA National Dragster, with in-depth coverage of the Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals and features on top racers, is now online in digital format and in the mail in its traditional print format to NHRA Members around the world.

Cover subject Gaige Herrera led a list of fast winners at the annual NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series season opener, winning Pro Stock Motorcycle in his debut aboard the Vance & Hines Suzuki, and he was joined in victory by Mike Salinas (Top Fuel), Matt Hagan (Funny Car), and Troy Coughlin Jr. (Pro Stock). Their tales are retold in his issue along with wall-to-wall coverage of the nine NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Sportsman winners, FuelTech Pro Mod, and Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown.

The event also contains Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series divisional event coverage from Divisions 2, 4, and 7 and the NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Racing Series’ Good Vibrations March Meet.

On the feature side, we take a deep dive into rising star Cody Krohn and sit down with multi-team owner Tony Stewart to discuss his full season ahead in Top Alcohol Dragster and the dynamics of his nitro racing teams.

We’ve also got an exclusive interview with Angelle Sampey, the winningest driver in NHRA history, on her current sidelined status, her hopes for the future, and her new role as brand ambassador for Mission Foods.

Our popular Racing Technology column delves into “The Race-Car Diet,” how you can find easy and inexpensive (and some expensive) ways to lighten your race car for better performance.
