First NHRA National Dragster All-Star Team selected after huge voting turnout
Fan voting for the inaugural NHRA National Dragster All-Star Team, a new program recently unveiled by the staff of the official NHRA magazine, ended last week with more than 12,000 voters casting ballots.
Fans were able to cast their votes for Pro Driver of the Year, Top Alcohol Driver of the Year, Sportsman Driver of the Year, Pro Mod Driver of the Year, Factory Stock Driver of the Year, Pro Tuner of the Year, Best Social Media Account, Race Car Builder of the Year, Track of the Year, and Best New Talent, as well as the prestigious Fan Favorite award.
“We were thrilled with the sheer number of ballots cast and how this new program resonated with the fans and teams, who logged in to support their favorites,” said National Dragster Editor Phil Burgess. “The staff and organizers thank everyone for their votes and the teams for their efforts to publicize the voting through their social media channels.”
A select panel of National Dragster staff members and drag racing experts also has selected the 2023 Person of the Year, the member of the racing community who has meant the most to the sport throughout the season.
The winners will be announced live at the PRI Show in Indianapolis in December and recognized on the exclusive NHRA live stream from the NHRA stage, assuring a worldwide audience for the announcements, which will be made throughout the course of the event.
