NHRA fans will soon have a chance to vote for their favorites to earn a prestigious spot on the inaugural NHRA National Dragster All-Star Team, a new program being unveiled by the staff of the official NHRA magazine.
Following the season-ending In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals, fans can vote on NHRA.com for Pro Driver of the Year, Top Alcohol Driver of the Year, Sportsman Driver of the Year, Pro Mod Driver of the Year, Factory Stock Driver of the Year, Pro Tuner of the Year, Best Social Media Account, Race Car Builder of the Year, Track of the Year, and Best New Talent, as well as the prestigious Fan Favorite award. All nominees were selected by a panel of experts, and fans will also have the option for a write-in vote in any category,
A selected panel of National Dragster staff members and drag racing experts will also select the 2023 Person of the Year, the member of the racing community who has meant the most to the sport throughout the season.
“We’re extremely excited to bring this program to the fans and allow them to vote for their favorite drivers, teams, and people from within the NHRA community,” said National Dragster Editor Phil Burgess. “The structure of some of the mixed-class voting categories should create a lot of discussion, debate, and interest, and gives us the opportunity to provide extra recognition for some of these amazing individuals on a huge stage.”
The winners will be announced live at the PRI Show in Indianapolis in December and recognized on the exclusive NHRA live stream from the NHRA stage, assuring a worldwide audience for the announcements, which will be made throughout the course of the event.
