Famed Nightfire Nationals returns to Firebird Raceway, Aug 4-6
Idaho’s largest motorsport’s event, the 52nd Annual Nightfire Nationals presented by Bi-Mart returns to Firebird Raceway on Friday-Sunday, Aug. 4-6.
The track’s “signature NITRO event” will feature an impressive field of AA/Funny Cars, AA/Fuel Altereds, AA/Fuel Dragsters and more throughout the three-day and night event. The Nightfire is a key point’s stop for AA/FC and AA/FD in the 2023 NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Series chase.
In addition, nightly exhibition runs will also take place by Ed “the Outlaw” Jones and his amazing wheelstanding Stagecoach, along with a pair of 280 -mph Jet Cars that will close out the show each evening.
Professional qualifying will take place at 8 pm on Aug. 4; 2 pm and 8 pm on Aug. 5, and championship finals starting at noon on Sun., Aug. 6.
Furthermore, Firebird will host the track’s largest sportsman event of the year better known as the Bracketeers dating back to 1976. A record purse is up for the taking in Super Pro, Pro, Heavy, Sled/Bike, Pro Comp, and Top Fire eliminators over the three-day time span.
