Dodge Power Brokers NHRA U.S. Nationals launches today with Sportsman action
The world’s biggest drag race, the Dodge Power Brokers NHRA U.S. Nationals, officially kicks off today with Sportsman qualifying and time trials, the first of six days of action from the hallowed grounds of Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park.
Competitors in Super Stock, Stock, Super Comp, Super Gas, and Hemi Challenge will take to the most famous dragstrip on the planet to get the 68th edition of the Big Go underway.

Sportsman qualifying continues Thursday, along with class eliminations in Super Stock and Stock and the first rounds of U.S. Nationals eliminations in Super Comp and Super Gas.
Sportsman eliminations continue Friday, highlighted by the 21st annual Dodge Hemi Challenge, along with qualifying in the Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car classes, the Constant Aviation Factory Stock Showdown, FuelTeach Pro Mod, Mountain Motor Pro Stock, and Top Fuel Harley, and crowned by the first of five qualifying sessions for the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series teams.
Saturday will be highlighted by the completion of the Top Fuel portion of the Pep Boys NHRA All-Star Callout, which began earlier this year in Gainesville before being halted by rain, and the annual JEGS Allstars competition for Sportsman racers, along with the continuation of Sportsman qualifying and eliminations, and the second and third rounds of qualifying for the Camping World Drag Racing Series teams.
Sunday will be highlighted by the Pep Boys All-Star Funny Car Callout and the final two qualifying sessions for the Camping World Drag Racing Series teams, along with final eliminations in Top Fuel Harley,
All of this sets the stage for Monday’s grand final eliminations to crown the champions of the 68th annual Dodge Power Brokers NHRA U.S. Nationals.
