Among the many special attractions at the upcoming Mopar Express Lane NHRA SpringNationals presented by Pennzoil will be an exhibition featuring Nitro Mike Kunz and his popular Dodge PT Cruiser wheelstander. Recognized in the book of Guinness World Records for the longest wheelstand at 2,503 feet, Kunz’s vehicle is actually a quarter-scale replica of a real PT Cruiser. It is powered by a supercharged 403-cid Oldsmobile engine and fitted with a Turbo 400 three-speed transmission and a Mopar 8-3/4 rear end.

A welder/fabricator by trade, Canada-born Kunz has owned and built a variety of fast cars, boats, bikes, and sleds. He previously raced the Octane Abuse alcohol mud racer and also worked as a Top Alcohol Dragster crewmember. He received his NHRA exhibition license in 2008 and has been entertaining crowds all over North America ever since, including numerous appearances at NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series events, such as the 2019 Auto Club NHRA Finals in Pomona.
