Texas Motorplex will honor military, first responders with ticket offers, special guests
This year during the 35th annual AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals, the Texas Motorplex will once again offer members of the active or retired military, government employees and first responders a variety of ticket discounts to the NHRA national event.
“We look at all the sacrifices first responders and members of the military make every day or have made throughout their careers and we just wanted to say thank you,” said Andy Carter Texas Motorplex General Manager. “We will be recognizing members of the armed services and first responders throughout the event. We also have a special promotion with the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation as well as a special national anthem singer on Friday night.”
Military members will be able to save 20% on Adult Reserved or General Admission Tickets on any race day. The offer is also redeemable online in advance through a unique purchase link available to verified users on GovX. Additionally, savings will also available at the gate with presentation of professional or Military ID at the ticket window.
During race day on Sunday the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation will be hosting and recognizing hundreds of guests thanks to the generosity of Billy and Steve Torrence, the father and son Top Fuel team and owners of Kilgore-based Capco Contractors. The Torrences along with the Texas Motorplex donated ticket to the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation as part of an Independence Day ticket promotion. Also as part of the pre-race ceremonies the Motorplex will once again drape a three story American flag on the front of their suite tower building.
The AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals will be contested from Oct. 14-18 with a two day National Open on Wednesday and Thursday followed by the Mello Yello Drag Racing Series. Two Nitro qualifying sessions on Saturday for the Top Fuel and Funny Car teams will hit the track beginning around noon. Final elimination will be contested on Sunday beginning at 11 a.m.
The track will be following all state and county health recommendations. For tickets and more information visit www.texasmotorplex.com.
