WATCH: John Force leads Funny Car Q1 at Menards NHRA Heartland Nationals
John Force came closest to making a 3-second pass at the Menards NHRA Heartland Nationals presented by Minties. The 16-time Funny Car champion ran a 4-second pass, right on the money, at 317.49 mph to earn three bonus points and take the category lead into the second qualifying session. He ran alongside Ron Capps, who ran the second-quickest time of the session (4.006) in his classic NAPA Auto Parts scheme after three-straight races in his NAPA Brakes scheme.
