With a bye run in round two of the Menards NHRA Heartland Nationals, all Steve Torrence  had to do was stage his Capco dragster in order to run his unbeaten streak to 17-straight rounds. For good measure, Torrence made the quickest pass of the round with a 3.712 in order to earn lane choice over his buddy, Antron Brown, in the semifinals. 

Rookie Austin Prock will make his first semifinal appearance after a win over his teammate, Brittany Force, who smoked the tires. Prock ran a slowing 4.035 for the win and will give up lane choice to
