Following a tough Top Fuel session that produced just two three-second runs, John Force showed the way in Funny Car by driving his Peak Camaro to a 3.984 at 319.45 mph. Force not only picked up three bonus qualifying points, but he also proved that his Peak crew are able to negotiate a tricky track surface. After three of four qualifying runs, Force remains in the No. 3 spot with last night's 3.938 best.

Provisional low qualifier J.R. Todd was also able to make a full run with a 4.065, 302.55 in his DHL Toyota while Cruz Pedregon also earned a point thanks to a 4.084 run in his Snap-on Tools Dodge. With just one qualifying run remaining, points leader Robert Hight remains in the bottom half of the field.
