Steve Torrence reached his fourth final round in the season’s first eight races by beating his father, Billy, in the semifinals. Steve, winner of the last two races on the tour, in Charlotte and Atlanta, left second against his dad but pulled away when Billy’s car lost traction downtrack.

Steve-o will race his good friend Antron Brown in the final. Brown and opponent Mike Salinas also lost traction but the race ended when Salinas’ safety system kicked in after an engine malfunction.
