Racing on the hottest track temperature seen all season, the Top Fuelers struggled in Q3 but reigning world champ Steve Torrence still put up a respectable 3.82 pass to lead the way.

Torrence, winner of the last two races on the schedule, exactly split between his Friday passes of 3.77 and 3.87. Antron Brown (3.864) and Austin Prock (3.882) also put down representative runs that should help their Sunday cause.

Qualifying leader Clay Millican, who sat out Friday’s second pass after opening with a 3.74, smoked the tires but remains atop the field that is anchored by Lex Joon’s 4.64 with Audrey Worm and Ike Maier outside the field behind him.
