Fernando Cuadra Jr.

One round down, many more to go. Fernando Cuadra Jr. won his first round in his first Pro Stock race when Deric Kramer squared the tire right at the hit, sending the racer into the second round. He ran his best time of the weekend (6.838-seconds) and will face Jeg Coughlin Jr. to try to keep his streak alive.

The rest of the round went mostly according to plan, with a few holeshots thrown in for good measure. Coughlin defeated Fernando Cuadra Sr. on a holeshot while running a 6.612-second elapsed time. Chris McGaha made a terrific run (6.607) to defeat the higher qualified Matt Hartford) and Rodger Brogdon fell on a holeshot to Alex Laughlin.

Perhaps the most intriguing matchup in the second round is an old favorite: Greg Anderson vs. Erica Enders. Anderson will have lane choice, so Enders will have work to do with her clutch foot.

Second-round matchups (lane choice first): Jason Line vs. Alex Laughlin; Greg Anderson vs. Erica Enders; Jeg Coughlin Jr. vs. Fernando Cuadra Jr.; Chris McGaha vs. Bo Butner
