Richmond Funny Car results: Q4

Atlanta winner Ron Capps showed he’s ready for a second straight win by posting the best time of the final qualifying session, a 3.953, his third three-second pass in four attempts.

Atlanta winner Ron Capps showed he’s ready for a second straight win by posting the best time of the final qualifying session, a 3.953, his third three-second pass in four attempts.

J.R. Todd (3.961), qualifying leader John Force (3.978), and Matt Hagan (3.991) also all found the three-second target after none of the cars ran in the threes in Q3. Hagan’s run made him the seventh driver to qualify in the three-second zone with the top 14 cars all qualified at an impressive 4.085 or quicker.
