Torrence, father of reigning NHRA Mello Yello Top Fuel champion Steve, carried the family honor forward after Steve’s first-round loss, defeating Terry Totten, Mike Salinas, and Jordan Vandergriff to get to Pritchett.
Pritchett, appearing in her 14th career final, was looking for more glory at the place where she scored her first career win in the class in 2016.
