NGK Spark Plugs NHRA Four-Wide Nationals Saturday preview

The second of two four-wide races of the 2019 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season continues today with two qualifying sessions at zMAX Dragway outside of Charlotte, N.C.

NHRA teams faced adversity yesterday after rain and high winds interrputed the opening day of the NGK Spark Plugs Four-Wide Nationals but Mike Salinas, Jack Beckman, and Karen Stoffer managed to adapt to the changes and head into Saturday's final qualifying sessions as the leaders in Top Fuel, Funny Car, and Pro Stock Motorcycle, respectively.

Today's two qualifying sessions that will set the fields for tomorrow's final eliminations are scheduled for 2 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. Today's schedule also includes eliminations int he Lucas Oil Drag Racing series, as well as qualifying in the E3 Pro Mod series and SAM Tech.edu Factory Stock Showdown.  Here's the day's complete schedule.
