Welcome to Day 2 of the Denso Spark Plugs NHRA Four-Wide Nationals from The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where final qualifying today will set the fields for Sunday's final eliminations.

Mike Salinas grabbed the qualifying lead Friday in Top Fuel as he seeks what would be just the second No. 1 qualifying berth of his career. With 15 cars entered, the No. 1 qualifier will get a bye in the first round, so there's every reason for Salinas -- and everyone -- else to battle hard for the top spot.

Tim Wilkerson is halfway to his first No. 1 in Funny Car in almost two years, but even the popular privateer doubts that his 3.895 will remain No. 1 through the final two qualifying sessions.

Red-hot Bo Butner, winner of two of the season's first three races, has his Camaro in the No. 1 spot in Pro Stock but Jeg Coughlin Jr., Rodger Brogdon, and Alex Laughlin are breathing down his neck for the low qualifier crown.

Hector Arana Jr. leads the Pro Stock Motorcycle field with a 6.88, nearly three-hundredths in front of national speed record holder Matt Smith and the Harleys of Eddie Krawiec and Andrew Hines. Nineteen bikes are attempting to make the 16-bike field.
