Eddie Krawic stole the top spot from Matt Smith during a quick second round of Pro Stock Motorcycle qualifying. Krawiec rode his Screamin’ Eagle Harley-Davidson to a 6.835 to end the day as the provisional low qualifier. Smith improved from his earlier run to a 6.837 and also has top speed of the event with a pair of 198-mph passes on his Denso EBR. Hector Arana Jr. also continued his string of strong runs with a 6.838 for the No. 3 spot on his Lucas Oil EBR.

After wounding an engine in the first session, Steve Johnson did not run in Friday’s nighttime session and he will reportedly not be able to repair the damage in time for Sunday’s final eliminations.
