AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals Saturday preview

Get all the information on the second race of the NHRA Countdown to the Championship as professional qualifying continues with two sessions in Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle.

The NHRA Countdown to the Championship continues at the AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals with 40 racers in the hunt for a championship. Professional qualifying continues with a pair of sessions in Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle at World Wide Technology Raceway.

The first professional qualifying session begins at 1:45 p.m. Central with Pro Stock Motorcycle. Matt Smith enters as the defending champion in Pro Stock Motorcycle. Tanner Gray is the defending winner in Pro Stock, Robert Hight is the defending winner in Funny Car and Steve Torrence is the defending winner in Top Fuel.

Robert Hight is No. 1 in Funny Car

Erica Enders is No. 1 in Pro Stock

Steve Johnson is No. 1 in Pro Stock Motorcycle

Sunday, Sept. 29, FS1 will televise one hour of coverage at 1 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 29, FS1 will televise three hours of live finals coverage starting at 2 p.m. (ET).
