It takes a lot of parts to keep Don Schumacher Racing’s fleet of Top Fuelers and Funny Cars running down the track, and thanks to a $7 million investment, the team can make many of those parts in house at their Brownsburg, Ind., shop.

The DSR team recently added seven new CNC machines that will increase the number of parts they can build, including almost doubling the number of connecting rods they can manufacture. NHRA Indy bureau chief John Kernan stopped by the machine shop recently to check out the action.
