Courtney Force and the Traxxas Funny Car team head to Bandimere Speedway this weekend for the Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals. As the team gears up for the grueling Western Swing, a surprise is waiting for race fans. For those attending the race in person and fans who will be catching the action on FOX, the new look on the Traxxas Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car will definitely get some attention.

“After the excitement we had over the new body and color scheme we ran in Chicago only, I am so thrilled to unveil yet another new paint scheme for Denver!” said Force. “I love being able to have something different and unique on the track that really represents the Traxxas brand. I hope the fans love this one as much as I do. What a season it has been for the Fastest Name in Radio Control. We've had probably the most consistent race car to date, and that excites me as a driver. We've already picked up a win and are looking for at least one more along the Western Swing.”

Damron Atkins, marketing manager at Traxxas, conveyed the company's excitement about the new look and upcoming plans going into the NHRA Mello Yello Countdown to the Championship. “Everyone at Traxxas is excited about Courtney’s win in Houston this year, and we want to add some additional excitement for fans going into the Countdown. Courtney’s Traxxas Camaro is always one of the fastest on the track, and the electrifying-neon paint scheme that we designed for the Western Swing will look even better in the winner’s circle! The plan is to unveil a new speed-inspired design every month with the hope of motivating race fans to cheer Courtney on to her first Funny Car championship!”

Of course, it’s not just the new paint scheme that has Force looking forward to racing in Denver. The event marks the first of four races to be broadcast Sunday to an unprecedented live audience on FOX national TV, an exciting new frontier for the sport.

“I am really excited to be racing in Denver and also to have the Western Swing on the FOX national broadcast network,” said Force. “There are so many fans that will be able to see the great new look of this Traxxas Camaro, and we also want to put on a good show. We have had great shows on FS1, and now the move over to FOX will be so exciting for the whole sport. This new Traxxas look will get a lot of attention, and I love how we get to switch up the look of my Funny Car for the Western Swing.”
