NHRA Today: Coughlin can’t wait to start Top Fuel career
The original plan was for nitro rookie Troy Coughlin Jr. to compete in only six to eight Top Fuel races next year, but those plans have changed.
With Del Worsham leaving the Kalitta team to return to his family operation a game of musical chairs got underway. J.R. Todd moved from the SealMaster Top Fuel ride to the DHL Funny Car, opening a full time dragster seat for Coughlin and he was more than happy to take over.
Indy bureau chief John Kernan spent some time with Coughlin discussing the upcoming season and checked in with Amanda Busick at the wally Parks NHRA Studio.
